The Mediterranean Seminar is based at the Center for Mediterranean Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the department of Religious Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. This group sponsors a diverse range of scholarly activities, including a reading group, colloquia, a seminars series on the Mediterranean, and publications.
The Mediterranean Studies Association is an interdisciplinary organization which promotes the scholarly study of the Mediterranean region in all aspects and disciplines. MSA sponsors the publication of Mediterranean Studies, an international, peer-reviewed journal. The journal is particularly concerned with the ideas and ideals of Mediterranean cultures from antiquity to the present and the influence of these ideas beyond the region’s geographical boundaries.
Quaderns de la Mediterrànea is a twice-yearly publication issued by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IE Med.). The journal addresses themes related to intercultural dialogue and the reality of Mediterranean societies; it focuses on current cultural, anthropological and sociological issues.
